Natural History Observations of the Knysna Dwarf Chameleon (Bradypodion damaranum): While tracking and observing chameleons on 22 October 2025, environmental temperatures at our field site reached between 36 – 40 °C around midday. As temperatures climbed to the maximum, we observed six chameleons rapidly descending from their perching sites, all heading groundward either moving along the tree trunks or through the branches of bushes.
