In order to provide in the University's needs regarding beautifying the grounds and sports fields, 9 boreholes were drilled at different locations on the University campus. In 7 of the 9 holes water was found, with the strongest hole delivering 13 600 gallons per hour, located on the golf course on the corner of Windsor and Kingsway. In the photo is Mr. S.P. Haasbroek, chief horticulturalist, at the borehole.
