Mr. D. Frean and Prof. H.O.K. Zastrau with the British Council donation

A valuable collection of books and gramaphone records were donated on 6 February 1969 by the British Cultural Attaché, Mr. D. Frean,on behalf of the British Council. The donation consists of the complete Oxford English Dictionary (13 volumes), as well as a series of books on English authors and their works. The 32 gramophone records contains recordings of recitals from English poetry and some complete recordings of Shakespeare's works.@@In the photo are Mr. D. Frean (left) and Prof. H. Zastrau, University Librarian.
