On 12 January 1968 the new chancellor of the Rand Afrikaans University, Dr. N. Diederichs, Minister of Finance, visited the Rand Afrikaans University to meet members of staff and to inspect temporary buildings put up in Braamfontein. The chair person of the University Council, Dr. P.J. Meyer, was also present. From left to right: the Vice-Chancellor, prof. G. van N. Viljoen; Dr. Diederichs and Dr. Meyer.
